Introduction
The reel-to-reel audio tapes held by the Archives, which were mostly recorded from 1950–1960, mostly contain recordings of lectures, including those delivered at conferences, seminars, or memorial events, held by distinguished research fellows of the previous generation: Shih Hu (1891–1962), Han-sheng Chuan (1912–2001), Keng-wang Yen (1916–1996), Kang-po Shen (1896–1977), Wan-li Chu (1907–1979), Fang-kuei Li (1902–1987), and Kan Lao (1907–2003).
