The Sen-oku Hakukokan Museum, located in Kyoto, displays the long-standing collection of fine art and crafts owned by the Sumitomo Group, which is (especially in the post-WWII period) internationally renowned for its collection of Chinese bronzes. Sen-oku seisho (Collection of Old Bronzes of Baron Sumitomo) is an early catalog, featuring remarkable collotype prints, of sacrificial vessels and other bronzes on display at the Museum. In 1953, the head of the House of Sumitomo, Tomoito (1865–1926), decided to donate the complete twelve-volume set to the IHP, and on March 6 of that year, the shipment was prepared with General Manager Du Wanquan of Chien Sun Trading entrusted to handle customs processes. Later on May 6, Du led a delegation including Yamada Isamu (?–?) and Kamochi Komakichi (?–?), representatives of the Sumitomo Group in Taiwan, to visit the IHP—then at Yangmei. A book donation ceremony was organized, with the IHP gifting a copy of Yinxu wenzi yi bian (Oracle Bone Inscriptions from Yinxu, Series B) in exchange. The Archives has preserved seven photographs capturing the event. The IHP was represented by Kao-yuan Hsu (1915–1969), Kuang-yu Li (1905–1991), and Wang Hezong (?–?).
